Primary Responsibilities:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is expected to:

  • Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies dealerships;
  • Effectively maintain customer order flow processes to ensure accurate, cost effective and timely handling of customer shipments and returns which achieves cost efficiencies and customer satisfaction;
  • Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful;
  • Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.

    Primary Duties:

    1. Ensure maximum productivity, customer service and cost control.

    • Achieve company standards by maintaining an efficient check-in process while utilizing appropriate processes to ensure quick, accurate, easy access and prompt service.
    • Effectively and accurately distribute completed orders to delivery area and package for shipping while maintaining timelines to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Accurately and promptly process incoming returns to sustain consistent work flow and proper accounting.
    • Maintain secure and organized shipping and receiving systems to prevent damage and/or loss of company materials.
    • Perform all job duties requested by management

    2. Operate with integrity:

    • Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
    • Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
    • Communicate and help resolve customer complaints and adjustments.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months or more related experience in a shipping and receiving setting.
  • Basic communication skills-ability to read and write.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Basic computer skills necessary. Desirable: Larry H. Miller Group's management systems knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work performed in a shop setting.
  • Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
  • Required to lift up to a minimum of 70 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Required vision include the ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
