This senior level team member on the Business Decision Support Team will lead data acquisition and analytics in support of significant business assessments and solution development for critical business challenges. Includes engaging with senior executives and SME's to understand the challenge; structuring work needed to identify analysis needed; conducting the analysis; incorporating results into the overall assessment; and helping prepare/deliver the final recommendation back to the senior executives and help drive to a decision. Required in the process will be sophisticated modelling, forecasting, sensitivity analyses, and 'what if' projections. Data may be structured or unstructured and from a variety of sources/formats so ability to manipulate into a common framework is critical. Overall, must have a broad perspective to identify, acquire and incorporate data from a variety of internal and external resources, engaging a diverse group of resources from the business, strategy team, and others as needed in a 'virtual team' model.
Perform 'ad hoc' data gathering and analysis to meet immediate/short-term requests as needed. Very often these requests are vague, undefined, and with significant time pressure for a quick response. Key for success is the ability to crisply define the challenge, break it into key data request components, leverage a strong, comprehensive network of business partners/data sources, aggregate, align and curate the data, quickly identify themes and insights, create spreadsheets/PowerPoints as appropriate, and present in a clear, concise way to senior leaders.
Location/s: The preferred location is Charlotte, NC but other Wells Fargo hub locations may be considered including Minneapolis MN, Des Moines IA, Denver CO, and Phoenix AZ.
